During the Autumn term the Year 3’s focused on the Ancient Egyptian civilization, which has proven to be a very popular topic. The children visited New Walk museum early on to ignite their interest in the subject and since then have learnt a lot about the Ancient Egyptian way of life. The children have made Egyptian death masks, shadufs, River Nile dioramas and even become experts in mummifying tomatoes! Towards Christmas, we then moved on to our next topic -Bones and Beastly Bits, which 3MK and 3PS will continue for the next three weeks. The children are currently learning about the major organs, muscles, teeth and more importantly how their bodies work.
