F&Q

How large are the classes at the School?

We always try to keep class sizes as low as possible. Children in the Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 classes will be in a class of no more than 30 children.

Is there a school uniform?

We would recommend that children wear the blue and grey colours of the school. Some clothing is on sale on line from our supplier….sweat shirts, polo and tee shirts, fleeces, etc which parents can buy if they wish.

If I live outside the school’s catchment area, can my child still come?

As long as the school isn’t full then your child can be admitted. Everyone will have to complete the Leicestershire admission form on line at www.leics.gov.uk/admissions . We advise parents to visit several schools, including their own ‘catchment area’ school before making a final choice.

When can my child start school?

Your child may start school during the school year in which they are 5. All children will start in the Autumn term.

What do I do when my child is ill?

Please ring the school  before 9.30am if your child is absent due to illness.

Can I come and visit the school?

Yes! The Headteacher would be delighted to show you round. Please ring the school office to arrange a time which is convenient to you and the school.
