Our year 5 science ambassadors were lucky enough to attend a science ambassador training day at Robert Smyth secondary school. This day was run by an ex physics teacher Judith Green, who has worked closely with Little Bowden students over the last few years to deliver exciting assemblies and enrichment activities.
The children were shown how handle equipment (including how to store equipment), they discussed what makes a good ambassador, had an opportunity to meet a science technician and find out about the job, they were taught the skills to enable them to raise the profile of science in their schools, create a news board and ideas for running clubs.
All four children had a fantastic day.
Please keep an eye out for our science board located in the school hall.
