Riley in Year 6 brought some eggs into school for us, from his Uncle's farm. We kept them in an incubator to keep warm for twenty-one days. We watched closely and carefully as the chicks began to hatch out of the eggs. This was very exciting! We hatched out six chicks altogether but unfortunately one died. We spoke about this altogether as a year group during our PSHE sessions and used the book, 'The Invisible String' to help us understand. We wrote some lovely letters and made some beautiful cards for the chicks! We had to give them fresh food and water and make sure that they had a heat lamp to sit underneath to keep warm.
