Phonics - new sound 'ng' -

Watch Geraldine the Giraffe on Mr Thorne’s phonics. Click on the link:

How many ‘ng’ words can you think of? Complete the letter formation sheet on ‘ng.’

 If you do not have access to a printer to print this, please do not worry. If a grown up writes a few ‘ng’s on a piece of paper in yellow, orange, light green or light blue felt tip, you can trace over it. Then try a few on your own.

Practise Set 1 sounds in Speed Sounds Lessons; learn to read Red Words and practise reading and writing using Hold a Sentence.

All lessons will show at 9.30 am each day and be available for 24 hours.

  • Listen to the story Max by Bob Graham. This has been recorded by Mrs Wright in our 'Stories' section on the home learning page.
  • After listening to the story, see if you can tell a grown-up your favourite part of the story. Was this at the beginning, middle or end?
  • If you would like to, you could draw a picture of your favourite part of the story.
