First of all we got rained off on Monday, so we had our own mini-indoor sports day as a practice. Then the sun came out on Thursday for us and we had a great time! Well done everyone for participating so well, showing us all your fabulous character champion muscles like resilience, perseverance and supporting each other!
Welcome to the Summer Term! Our topics this term are 'Dinosaurs' and 'Under the Sea.' Please see the Summer term overview below and the weekly overviews of what we are learning in school.
Our P.E. days are Mondays and Fridays and the children may wear their P.E. kits on these days or normal uniform with trainers. Mr Moir from the P.E. department, will also be running some extra outdoor P.E. sessions in small groups on Thursday afternoons. Your child may wear trainers to school on Thursday too.
If your child has outgrown their black shoe shoes, please do not worry. Just send them in trainers or any other shoes that do fit.
If you are worried about your child having a toileting accident, you may send them with a change of underwear and clothes. Please put these in a named draw-string bag or plastic bag and not a ruck-sack, so that it will fit onto their coat peg.
As the weather improves and most children choose to spend more time in our outdoor classroom in continuous provision, you may want to send your child wi a sun-hat. Don't forget to label it. Also, it may be worth purchasing suitable sun cream. There are products that last 7+ hours that you can apply before school. Otherwise if you are sending your child with suncream to re-apply, you will need to make sure that it is very clearly labelled, especially with Covid-19 so that they do not use others and you will need to teach them how to apply the suncream themselves.
The class email addresses will remain open. However, they will not be checked during the day when we are teaching, so if the matter is urgent please tell us at drop-off/pick up times at the gate.
The Home Learning icon will remain open incase your family has to self-isolate or the pod closes. We will update it if/when this happens, with the timetable in the crayons for each day, as it was during the lockdown.

The children have enjoyed learning about the artist Piet Mondrian.
They had a go at creating their own piece of art inspired by his work!
