We have just completed another successful “Let’s Get Cooking” club, the last course for this school year. Each set of cooking lessons lasts four weeks and are held in the school kitchen with support from our school cooks. We endeavour the use fresh, healthy ingredients, some of which are grown in the school garden. All recipes are devised by The Children’s Food Trust, supported by the Tesco healthy eating project.
This term we have made eatwell pizza, oaty salmon fishcakes, zesty raspberry and lemon muffins, brilliant burgers and coleslaw, mini summer puddings and spicy bean taco breads (our link to Latin America and the Rio Olympics)
Cooking club will resume next term. It is available to children from Year 3 upwards. We hope to welcome lots of new chefs for our next course in September 2016!
