  • Watch the video - Geraldine Giraffe learns the 'igh' trigraph (three letters that make one sound):
  • Afterwards, have a go at saying the sound and the rhyme ‘igh – Fly High’. See if you can find this trigraph on your sound mat too.
  • Then have a go at practising writing out the 'igh' trigraph using the sound sheet (below). If you do not have a printer, you can trace over some letters written out by a grown-up and then have a go at drawing out some of your own on plain paper.


Listen to and discuss the stories 'My Mum' by Anthony Browne - and 'I love my Mummy' by David Bedford and Brenna Vaughan -

Discuss why you love your Mummy and listen to others share their ideas. Draw a picture of your Mummy or you and your Mummy together. Colour very carefully! Practise reading aloud your sentence.
