This week, for a change and also a break from fractions, we shall be learning about position and direction. We will begin by looking at coordinates. In previous years the children will have identified squares on a map using letters and numbers. Now we will be using x and y axis and the numbers will be placed on the line rather than between them. This is an important distinction as it leads to points where lines meet rather than an actual square.
Mr Critchlow is our teacher this week. He has set quite a few work sheets and it may help to have some squared paper ready is want to reduce the amount of printing.
