  Year four's topic for the first half of the autumn term is waterways. We will be investigating rivers, where the start, how they grow and where they end. We shall also be finding out about features of rivers such as tributaries, upper course, lower course etc.

 We shall also be studying canals and our first big question is,


       Why were canals built when rivers already existed?


 Unfortunately lockdown rules may limit your freedom to visit local sites, however any opportunity to take your child for a walk along a local river or canal would be of great benefit.
