Phonics

  • Watch the video - Geraldine Giraffe learns the 'igh' trigraph (three letters that make one sound): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYCR2RZ4ZYY
  • Afterwards, have a go at saying the sound and the rhyme ‘igh – Fly High’. See if you can find this trigraph on your sound mat too.
  • Then have a go at reading the words containing the 'igh' trigraph using the sound sheet (below).

English/Writing

Underneath the picture of your Mummy or you and your Mummy together that you drew yesterday in your heart template, complete the sentence "I love my Mummy because..." Practise reading aloud your sentence.
