Today we will be looking at the 'zz' digraph.

  • Watch the Alphablocks z and zz video -
  • Afterwards, have a go at writing the words using the worksheet to help you (see below). Alternatively, see if you can have a go at reading some of the words ending in 'zz' from the video and have a go at drawing a picture to match each one on plain paper. 
  • In the story Charlie’s Superhero Underpants, he goes on an adventure to find his missing underpants. He packs in his bag ‘some sandwiches, some sardines and some soap, a mirror, fan, a toothbrush and a big brass telescope.’
  • If you were going on a superhero adventure, what things would you take with you in your bag? See if you can draw pictures and write a list of special things that you might need to help you.
