Dear children, parents and carers.
We would firstly likely to say a huge thank you and well done to you all for staying motivated and continuing to work hard. This week we look forward to welcoming some of you back into school, we know many of you are disappointed to not be returning, the school has worked hard to try and get more of you in but we have had to follow the strict guidelines that have been set by the government. We are just as disappointed as you all are.
We will continue with our home learning and will try to match it with what we are doing in school where possible. As always we look forward to seeing and hearing about what you have been doing, please keep sending us weekly email updates.
Many of you have raised concerns about the transition for children into secondary schools, we will be setting activities for the children to complete within our home learning page and hope to send out some material for those that continue their learning at home. The secondary schools are aware that many of our children will be feeling anxious on returning to school and we are certain they will have events and support in place for all children when they first start.
At this moment in time it is difficult for us to organise any kind of farewell party for our year 6 children, however things change weekly so if gatherings of 70 or more people are allowed we hope to have you all back for one final celebration. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed!
Thank you all for your continued support and kind comments, they really do help us in these difficult times.

In response to events in the news concerning the George Floyd situation we are putting on some materials for you to work through with your child as you see fit. In already uncertain times we are aware that some children will be feeling more anxious or confused but they could act as a way to engage your child to discuss what is happening and why and consider their role as citizens of the world.
