Towards the end of the academic year we will assess your child on the Early Learning Goals (ELGs). This is carried out through informal teacher observations and assessment, as well as evidence collected from your child's written work in books. The class teacher will then complete a One Page Profile which is handed to the year one teachers. Depending how well your child scores on this assessment will determine whether they meet the criteria for making Good Level of Development (GLD). Please see below some information explaining the ELG assessment criteria.

If you have any other additional questions regarding our end of EYFS assessment process, please contact the school office and arrange a telephone conversation with your child's class teacher.
